Pauley Perrette was born in New Orleans and moved several times as a child due to her father's job.

She graduated college with Honours - recieving her Master's Degree in Criminology.She also studied Sociology and Psychology.

She was - and still is - completely obsessed with the study of Forensic Science. She currently lives in L.A. with two dogs, a cat- and any random people who show up.

She has a sister - whom she absolutely adores, as well as a father. Her mother passed away in 2002. Her sister currently lives in Tennessee, and her dad lives in Alabama.

Pauley says that the thing that keeps her going is Faith. Faith in God, Faith in herself, in time, in change, in infinity, in resilience, opportunity, fate, learning, the similarities and differences in us all. But, above all else, a faith in the fact that someone has everything under control - no matter how bad things may seem.

Perhaps somewhat related is the profession of her character Abby Sciuto on the TV series NCIS, as she is a forensic scientist. Abby is an interesting part of the gallery of personae, with her relatively eccentric style and personality.

Pauley has also had roles in a range of films and some TV series, including several guest appearances in a large number of TV series. She supports many charity organizations, including animal rescue (chihuahuarescue.com), the american red cross (arc.org), civil rights, gay rights (hrc.org, apla.org), napo.org, and donorschoose.org, etc.

Pauley is not only an actress : she is a singer. She released a CD, and also has her own record company (GO Records). She was the lead singer in the Los Angeles based all female band, Lo-Ball. She is also a writer, photographer and a poet !

She works with a Burbank-based Chihuahua Rescue.

She is a published poet and a spoken word artist.

She was the lead singer of the band Lo-Ball, which, to my knowledge is now disbanded. (I've posted a link on this page where you can download and hear some of Lo-Ball's music with her singing lead...It's the only place I can find it, as far as I know there's no place to purchase the music.)

Pauley's nickname is 'P.'

She has had many guest roles on TV shows- CSI, Haunted, 24, Dawson's Creek, Veronica's Closet, Jesse, The Drew Carey Show, and Frasier. She also was in The Ring and Almost Famous, as well as others.

Her natural hair is blonde and curly.

Pauley says that if all else fails, she'd like to be a security guard some day.
